This fable, written by the gifted and talented class at Nap Ford, was an offshoot of the animal-adjective activity. After reading a bunch of fables, students broke into groups, chose their favorite animals from the previous activity, and inserted them into a fable. Each group chose a moral for their story using our favorite method: out of a hat. This one was our favorite.
