The Young Writer’s Camp is held each summer and ventures beyond fiction and nonfiction reading and writing. Catering to students in 1st through 9th grade, each of the five week-long camps offer students the opportunity to write, illustrate and publish their very first novel with the help of creative professionals in the field. Activities include story telling, bookmaking, poetry reading and song writing. By the end of the week, students have their very own printed book to take home.
Slam Camp is an annual camp held during the spring break holiday. The camp is open to Orlando high schoolers who are passionate about poetry. Students work on one poem with Orlando’s most talented poets in preparation for a final performance. Students also take home a free t-shirt and a chapbook anthology of the all the campers’ poems.
