During the school year students of all skill levels can visit our homework room after school for free reading, writing and tutoring help with a trained adult tutor that will work with any student on their homework and assignments. We might l-o-v-e the language arts but tutors are willing to help students tackle tough homework in any subject.
Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays:
SESSION A (2nd – 5th grades): 3:30pm – 4:30pm. SESSION B (6th – 12th grades): 4:30pm – 5:30pm. Wednesdays: Free drop in tutoring; 3:00pm – 6:00pm. Location: Downtown Recreation Center, 649 W. Livingston St. (Next to the old Amway Arena.)
- ONLY 15 SPACES AVAILABLE IN EACH SESSION! ENROLLMENT IS FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST SIGN THEIR CHILDREN UP IN PERSON.
- Sessions include 15 minutes of individual or group reading practice, 15 minutes of creative and/or expository writing, and 30 minutes of homework help with a trained tutor.
- Students will have access to a full library of literature, young adult fiction, elementary reading, newspapers and educational magazines.
- All tutoring is supervised by Page 15 staff and assisted by qualified volunteers with successful background checks.
