Young Writers Summer Camps

Venturing beyond reading and writing, Page 15’s popular Young Writers Summer Camps gives authors in 2nd – 12th grades the opportunity to write, illustrate, and publish their very own book with help from published authors, editors and illustrators.  The Young Writers Camp is perfect for readers and writers of all abilities – from the budding young wordsmiths who love the process, to the reluctant writer who hasn’t yet found the know-how or interest in writing.

Spanning over the course of the summer, each one-week long camp encourages writers to explore their creative voices and write their very own stories. Throughout the week students experience a one-on-one art consultation with a professional illustrator and attend a reading and book signing with a local author. On the last day of every camp, students are given their own time on stage to read their story to a crowd composed of friends and family.

“My twins loved, loved, loved coming to writing camp. They wanted to be the first to arrive and the last to leave. Everything about this camp was an amazing experience for them. It’s an awesome camp. I love the concept. The writing practice, the artistry, and creativity you’ve instilled in our kids”

“Page 15 has been a highlight of our daughter’s summer for the past two years. While she is here, her creativity is nurtured and she is encouraged in her love of reading and writing. She is also given specific tools to use to help her in the creative process.”

“At first, I didn’t want to be at Page 15, but then I realized there wasn’t anything bad about Page 15. I walked in and sat with someone I recognized from Hillcrest Elementary and then we started talking. At the end of the day I told my mom how much I loved it, and I read what I wrote to here. There was no negative that I heard of. I could express myself, and I made friends. It was very cool. Would I recommend it to friends. Of course. Page 15 is awesome”

They all have stories to tell.

At Page 15, we believe every child should have the opportunity to share their voice, and tell their story.

With your help, we can provide summer camp scholarships for up to 75 Orlando kids.
